Group-wide Innovation Foresight Process

Successul development and implementation of a global foresight organization, and anchoring of processes throughout the group

Thinking outside the box and taking action based on future corporate visions makes it possible to embark upon new paths together. Due to this realization, thyssenkrupp introduced a group-wide foresight process with UNITY. Alternative future scenarios were developed as pilots for the topics concerning: mobility, construction and infrastructure, water management and production 4.0. Future content such as Growth Opportunities, Trend Maps, Pictures of the Future and scenarios was developed systematically, globally with more than 150 participants. Finally, specific innovation ideas were derived from this content for areas involving production, products, service and business models. 

These projects results have enabled thyssenkrupp to prepare itself for future developments. Due to the four pilot projects, the Innovation Foresight process was defined and anchored within the company. As a result, the cross-divisional pipeline of ideas can now be filled continuously.
