Operationalization of the Corporate Strategy
The HassiaGroup is a 5th generation owner-managed family business and a leading German supplier of non-alcoholic beverages. The brand portfolio includes national brands such as Bionade and Vita Cola and regional premium brands such as Carolinen, Rosbacher and Thüringer Waldquell.
External influences such as the explosion in raw material prices, inflation and the shortage of skilled workers have been putting the beverage industry, and therefore the HassiaGroup, under enormous pressure for years. In addition, the competitive arena is challenging, with global corporations such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi and Red Bull on the one hand and countless regional suppliers on the other. In order to be able to operate successfully in this environment, the HassiaGroup developed a new corporate strategy two years ago.
To operationalize this strategy, the family-owned company set up a comprehensive transformation program together with UNITY. This focused on five strategic areas of action: (1) managing the Group in line with the strategy, (2) concretizing the corporate strategy into divisional strategies and growth initiatives, (3) establishing operational excellence, (4) future-proofing the IT architecture and (5) proactively shaping the transformation.
With the help of this programme, existing structures were optimized, divisional and cross-divisional strategies were developed and profitable new growth paths were worked out within the first year. In addition, the establishment of process management and project portfolio management methods laid the foundations for the Group‘s further growth and success. Specialists and managers were involved in the transformation with target group-specific formats.
