Definition, management and implementation of a major transformation program

PLM Program for Digital Engineering
Danfoss is a multinational company, based in Denmark, with more than 41,000 employees globally. Danfoss looks back at over 90 years of innovative engineering. The company produces an expansive portfolio of industrial solutions and components in 100 factories with sales in more than 100 countries. The portfolio includes hydraulics, motors, controllers, drives, compressors, sensors, switches, pumps, and meters that are designed to drive global advancements in sustainability for energy efficiency, renewables, food supply, and connectivity.
Motivated by the potentials of the digital society and by the target to lead the way to sustainable transformation, Danfoss provides innovative and proven solutions. One of the main challenges is the reliable engineering and manufacturing of highly configurable complex products. Danfoss’ products are typically regionalized and personalized for the customer, which requires an increasing number of configurations.
Realizing these modern challenges, Danfoss is embracing digitalization in all areas of its organization. Danfoss initiated a digital transformation initiative based on several programs, like OneERP, OneCRM, OnePLM and others. As an engineering centric organization, the OnePLM program plays a critical role amongst the IT landscape of Danfoss.
OnePLM is designed to transform the engineering processes across all segments of Danfoss based on an eco-system of engineering tools set to meet Danfoss’ current and future products and business model.
UNITY accompanied Danfoss’ OnePLM program since the initiation and helped in the definition and setup of the program structure, organization and definition of the working model. UNITY was involved in the operational execution of the program as well in the development of architectural concepts for the target solution. Furthermore, UNITY supported the OnePLM team in defining the transformational workstreams and the management and orchestration of these.
