There are legally independent companies within the UNITY Group. These operate under the following names: UNITY AG (www.unity.de), UNITY Schweiz AG (www.unity.ch), UNITY Austria GmbH (www.unity.at), UNITY Business Consulting (Shanghai) Co, Ltd (www.unity-consulting.cn), UNITY Egypt Ltd. and UNITY Consulting Australia Pty Ltd.

The following data protection guidelines apply to all UNITY companies mentioned and their websites. For reasons of readability, only UNITY is referred to in the following. All websites are operated by and under the data protection responsibility of UNITY AG in Germany.

Privacy Policy on the Website

UNITY appreciates every visit to our website and your interest in the company and its range of services. The protection of personal data is an important concern for us. All UNITY web activities are carried out in accordance with the applicable legal provisions on the protection of personal data and data security. This data protection notice provides information on how UNITY handles information that is collected during a visit to the UNITY website.

Collection and Processing of Personal Data

Personal data is all information relating to identity, such as name, e-mail address or postal address. Such data is only stored if it is provided to UNITY voluntarily or with prior consent, e.g. when ordering studies/information material or subscribing to the newsletter. This data is then stored and processed accordingly.

Contact Form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

The data entered in the contact form is therefore processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. All you need to do is send us an informal email. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer pertains. Mandatory statutory provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

Use and Disclosure of Personal Data

UNITY uses personal data exclusively for the purpose of technical administration of the websites, to provide access to special information and for other communication for the previously determined purpose. UNITY will neither pass on personal data to third parties nor use it in any other way. UNITY employees are obliged to maintain confidentiality.

Freedom of Choice

The user is free to decide which information is made available to UNITY. If the user does not wish to transmit any information, individual contents of the website may not be accessible. Subscribers to a newsletter can unsubscribe from these communication services at any time at . If your personal data has changed (e.g. postal code, e-mail or postal address), you can also inform UNITY by e-mail to correct or update the data.

Automatically Collected Information

When you access the UNITY website, various data about the accessing system is automatically collected to ensure the secure and efficient operation of the website. This includes, for example, the Internet browser used, the operating system used, the number of visits, the average time spent on the site, the pages accessed, the date and time of access and the IP address of the Internet service provider. This information is used to make the website available, to identify and rectify technical problems and to prevent or track possible misuse. Furthermore, this information is used to improve the attractiveness, content and functionality of the website. No further use or disclosure of the data takes place in this case either. This processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Elfsight

We use widgets from the provider Elfsight. The service is provided by Elfsight, LLC, Paronyana str 19/3, 201, Yerevan 0015, Armenia. Data may be transmitted to the third country Armenia.  For Armenia, there is no adequacy decision of the EU Commission pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR. The transfer therefore takes place on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) pursuant to Art. 46 para. 2 lit. c GDPR, which have been approved by the European Commission. These clauses oblige Elfsight to maintain an adequate level of data protection outside the EU. Elfsight processes non-identifying data such as your IP address, interactions with the website, the referring URL, the browser used, the operating system and cookie information. This data cannot be used by Elfsight to identify you personally. On this website, the social media stream of Instagram and LinkedIn is integrated in compliance with data protection regulations using a widget from Elfsight.com. Elfsight uses strictly necessary cookies to ensure the basic functionality of the widget. The processing is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

When using services such as Google Analytics or Google Fonts, personal data is also transmitted to Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Here, too, there is no adequacy decision for the USA. Data is transferred on the basis of standard contractual clauses implemented by Google to ensure an adequate level of data protection. In addition, Google Analytics has been extended on this website by the code "gat._anonymizeIp();" provided by Google to ensure anonymized collection of IP addresses. Before transmission, the last two digits of the IP address are shortened so that the user cannot be identified.

Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You can easily prevent the installation of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. The processing is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time via the cookie settings.

You can object to the collection and use of your IP address by Google Analytics at any time with effect for the future. To do this, you can install a browser plug-in provided by Google. You can find the plug-in and further information on the Google website at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Google Ads Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Tag Manager, a web analytics service provided by Google. Google Tag Manager is used to manage tags that are used on the website. The tool itself is a cookie-less domain and does not store any personal data.

Google reCAPTCHA

To protect against misuse by non-human visitors (bots) and to prevent spam, this website uses the reCAPTCHA service of Google Ireland Limited, Dublin, Ireland ("Google").

The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to verify whether the data entered on our website is made by a human or by an automated program. Thus, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. When reCAPTCHA is started, your browser establishes a connection to Google's servers.

Cookies are used for the processing of the service. These cookies require a unique identifier for tracking purposes. According to Google, the IP address is not combined with other Google data unless you are logged in with your Google account while using reCAPTCHA. First, the reCAPTCHA algorithm checks whether Google cookies from other Google services are already placed on your browser. Then, reCAPTCHA places an additional cookie on your browser and captures a snapshot of your browser window.

Hotjar

This website uses Hotjar (https://www.hotjar.com/). The provider is Hotjar Ltd Dragonara Business Centre 5th Floor, Dragonara Road, Paceville St Julian's STJ 3141 Malta, Europe.

Hotjar is a tool for analyzing user behavior on this website. Hotjar allows us to record mouse and scroll movements, dwell time and user clicks, among other things. Online Presence in Social Media

UNITY maintains online presences within social networks and platforms in order to communicate with the customers, interested parties and users active there and to inform them about our services.

We would like to point out that user data may be processed outside the European Union. It may therefore be more difficult to enforce users' rights. US providers that are certified under the Privacy Framework undertake to comply with the data protection standards of the EU.

User data can be processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example, user profiles can be created from user behavior and the resulting interests of users. These profiles can be used, for example, to publish advertisements inside and outside social media platforms that presumably reflect the interests of users. For this purpose, cookies are stored on the users' end devices, in which the usage behavior and the presumed interests of the users are stored. Data can also be stored independently of the end devices used, especially if the users maintain profiles in the respective networks and are logged in to them.

The processing of users' personal data is based on our legitimate interests in effective user information and communication with users in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR. GDPR. If the users are asked by the respective providers of the platforms for consent to the data processing described above, the legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a., Art. 7 GDPR.

This website uses LinkedIn Conversion Tracking and the retargeting function of the LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, based in Dublin, Ireland ("LinkedIn").

With the help of this technology, visitors to this website can be reached with personalized advertisements on LinkedIn. Furthermore, it is possible to create anonymous performance reports as well as retrieve information on website interaction. To achieve this, the LinkedIn Insight tag is embedded on this website and it establishes a connection to the LinkedIn server if you visit this website while logged into your LinkedIn account at the same time. The information collected by the LinkedIn Insight tag regarding your use of our website is encrypted and deleted within 90 days.
