Meik Eusterholz

In 2005, I moved from a machine and plant engineering company to UNITY. Since then, I have advised more than 100 companies and hospitals. UNITY gives me the freedom I need to develop myself and my business area, and the opportunity to help shape the future of the company. Appreciation for our customers and among our colleagues is a top priority at UNITY.
In my free time, I actively pursue the topic of “going offline” in nature. I love spending time outdoors in the wilderness. That's why my wife and I bought a small vacation home in Sweden. We have renovated and modernized it over the past few years. Now we can generate and store our own energy using solar and wind power. We heat with wood from the forest and feed ourselves from the lake, the river, and the forest. We now spend almost every vacation day in this idyllic setting, recharging our batteries.
A good old friend and customer from the US once gave me the following poem, which I enjoy reading again and again and live by:
I am a fisherman!
It is not merely something that I do,
It is who I am!
Fishing is not simply my escape,
It is where I truly belong,
Where I am supposed to be!
It is not a place that I go,
But a lifelong journey I am taking.
It is a passage that my father showed to me,
And that I will continue to show to others.
When you understand all of this,
You will then know me,
And we will fish together.
