My name is Markus Stephan and I work as a Talent Attraction Manager at UNITY Consulting & Innovation. I joined UNITY Innovation Alliance in 2023 and was officially taken on by UNITY Consulting & Innovation at the beginning of 2025. What has remained? My passion for strong employer brands.
In my role, I not only support our own company, but also continue to support the companies in the UIA network. I see myself as a link between visions, people, and opportunities. I help people find work that motivates them intrinsically.
Hence my motto? “Work that motivates intrinsically.” That's exactly what drives me—and that's exactly what I want to create for others: work environments where you don't have to work, but want to. That's what UNITY and UIA mean to me. This is where creators and innovators come together.
And because I live what I preach, I deliberately chose an 80% contract. The reason: beach volleyball. It's my great outlet, my space for focus, ambition, and flow. I train several times a week and work hard to improve my skills. Because what drives me—in sports as in my career—is the same thing: doing, flow, and the will to get better.
I believe that work only makes lasting sense if it suits you. That's why I'm grateful that UNITY offers me and many others the opportunity to combine professional and personal goals.
And of course, as a Cologne native, fun is an essential part of my life. That's why I enjoy our joint events, such as Campus, the summer party, and the Christmas party.
But we also celebrate Carnival together with UNITY, which is a great experience.
