In addition to my work as a consultant, I have been volunteering since 2008 as the head of Paderborn's largest motorcycle forum, the Kurvenjäger Paderborn. What started out as a small group of students who didn't feel like exploring the beautiful roads in and around Paderborn on their own has grown over the years into a group of over 300 members, representing all types of motorcycles and all age groups. In addition to joint outings, safety training, and race training, the Kurvenjäger Paderborn have been involved in the Lichtblicke campaign every year for the past eight years around St. Nicholas Day. Last year, we were able to collect a record sum of €1,900 for a good cause during our St. Nicholas tour, which we rounded up to €3,000.
The Lichtblicke e.V. campaign focuses on people who have suffered serious misfortune: the weak and disadvantaged in our society who have no one to lobby on their behalf. Children are particularly affected by the emergency situations their families find themselves in. We want to give the little ones attention, solidarity, and resources. Children are our future and deserve everyone's support. Through our work, we fulfill our social responsibility, act as a lobby and voice, and actively help those in need in North Rhine-Westphalia. Unbureaucratically, quickly, and effectively.
